Who we are

A consultancy built on equity, evidence and a deep belief in people.

Founded by Dr. Karla McCullough, a Mississippi native, Fortune 500 executive and scholar of urban higher education, Tri-K Group brings more than a decade of strategy and systems work to organizations ready to do equity differently.

We don't hand you a binder and walk away. We work alongside your people to transform the policies, practices and procedures that quietly hold communities back and to build the internal capacity that makes change stick.

  • Systems-level change, not surface-level fixes that fade.
  • Humanity-centered facilitation that builds trust across difference.
  • Evidence-based models grounded in research and lived experience.

Our approach

A humanity-centered method, in four movements

Every engagement is different, but the path from inequity to thriving follows a rhythm we know well.

Movement 01

Listen & locate

We ground every engagement in your data, your people and the lived experience of the communities you serve.

Movement 02

Name the system

Using systems theory, we map the policies and practices producing inequitable outcomes, clearly and candidly.

Movement 03

Design & build

We co-create culturally responsive solutions and build the internal capacity to carry them.

Movement 04

Sustain & thrive

We transfer ownership so change endures, leaving you stronger, not dependent.

Proof in practice

“Choose to Grow”, equity you can measure

As Project Director, Dr. McCullough developed the curriculum for a national after-school initiative that helps youth ages 11–14 heal, grow and thrive, with young people themselves shaping the experience.

  • 16 sites delivering aligned programming across the United States.
  • 21+ community organizations engaged in shared outcomes.
  • Youth voice by design, participants help shape their own opportunities.
